Manmohan Singh’s Last Rites to Be Held After Daughter’s Arrival From US

India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away shortly after being admitted to AIIMS in Delhi on Thursday night. The news of his demise has left the nation in mourning. Manmohan Singh, who served as Prime Minister for two terms, is being remembered for his significant contributions to the country.

Currently, his mortal remains are at his residence in Delhi, draped with the national flag. Preparations are underway for a state funeral to honor him with full governmental protocols.

The last rites, however, have been scheduled for tomorrow to accommodate the arrival of one of his daughters, who is traveling from the United States. According to Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, she has already boarded a flight and is expected to arrive in India late tonight.

Manmohan Singh’s body will be moved to the Congress Party office in Delhi for public viewing. However, the detailed arrangements for the final rites will only be finalized after his daughter’s arrival, Dikshit stated.
