PM Modi, Amit Shah Pay Respects to Former PM Manmohan Singh; CM Chandrababu Heads to Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid their respects to the mortal remains of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The late leader's body has been placed at his residence on Motilal Nehru Marg in Delhi for dignitaries and well-wishers to offer their final tributes.
Earlier today, both Modi and Shah visited Manmohan Singh’s residence. After paying their respects, Prime Minister Modi spoke with Singh’s wife, offering his condolences and comforting her during this time of grief. He also expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the former Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to depart for Delhi this afternoon to pay homage to Manmohan Singh. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also expected to visit and offer his respects to the late leader’s mortal remains.
