Former Minister Perni Nani and Son Approach High Court Over Police Notices

Former Andhra Pradesh minister Perni Nani and his son Perni Krishnamurthy (Kittu) have approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking relief against police notices issued in connection with a ration rice disappearance case. The notices demanded their appearance for investigation, prompting the duo to file quash petitions to annul the police summons.
The case revolves around allegations against Perni Nani's family concerning the disappearance of ration rice from a godown. Perni Nani’s wife, Perni Jayasudha, has been named Accused No. 1 (A1) in the case, while godown manager Manasa Teja is listed as Accused No. 2 (A2).

Perni Jayasudha has already filed a petition in the district court seeking anticipatory bail in this matter.

The High Court is set to hear the quash petitions filed by Perni Nani and his son on December 24, 2024.
