Tollywood Industry Leaders Plan Meeting with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Tollywood industry leaders are reportedly planning to meet with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, who is currently in the United States, is expected to join the discussions upon his return. Producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi shared this update with the media, stating that the meeting would focus on critical issues facing the Telugu film industry.

According to Nagavamsi, the discussions will primarily revolve around ticket price hikes and the possibility of allowing premier shows. This move comes in the wake of a recent announcement by Revanth Reddy in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, where he declared that there would be no permissions granted for special or benefit shows in the state as long as he serves as Chief Minister. This decision follows a tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre, which underscored the potential risks of unregulated events.

The CM's announcement is expected to significantly impact upcoming blockbuster releases, including Game Changer, Daku Maharaj, and Sankranthiki Vastunnam, scheduled for release during the Sankranti festival. In light of this, Tollywood leaders are seeking to address their concerns with the Chief Minister directly.

Nagavamsi, who is producing Daku Maharaj under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, participated in a press conference on Monday organized by the film’s team. During the event, he emphasized the urgent need for dialogue with the government to resolve challenges currently facing the Telugu film industry.
