KTR to File Quash Petition in High Court

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) is set to file a quash petition in the Telangana High Court seeking the dismissal of the FIR registered against him by the ACB. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in funding the Formula E car racing event.

The FIR names KTR as Accused No. 1 (A1), IAS officer Arvind Kumar as Accused No. 2 (A2), and HMDA Chief Engineer BLN Reddy as Accused No. 3 (A3). Charges have been registered under non-bailable sections.

According to the FIR, Rs. 55 crore was allegedly paid to a foreign company without the required Cabinet approval or financial clearance. Notices are expected to be issued to KTR within two to three days, summoning him for questioning.

In response, KTR plans to approach the Telangana High Court today, seeking to have the case quashed.
