One in Every Four People Seeks TDP Membership: CM Chandrababu

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has intensified its membership drive, continuing even after the alliance government assumed power. TDP National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference today with Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, Members of the Legislative Council, and grassroots party workers to discuss the progress of the membership registration campaign.

During the teleconference, Chandrababu Naidu announced that the party had set a record by enrolling 76.89 lakh members in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined. He attributed this success to the collective efforts of party leaders and workers, emphasizing the trust and belief people have in the TDP.

"One in every four people is eager to join the TDP," said Chandrababu Naidu, highlighting the party's unique strength in its extensive cadre base, unmatched by any other political party in the country.

He further revealed that ₹1.35 crore had been spent from the party’s workers’ welfare fund. He proudly stated that TDP is the only political party offering ₹5 lakh insurance coverage to its members for a nominal ₹100 membership fee. So far, 685 individuals have registered as permanent members, with funds collected through this initiative dedicated solely to party workers' welfare.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the Mangalagiri constituency, represented by Nara Lokesh, led in permanent membership registration. He detailed that Mangalagiri recorded 71% membership registration, followed by Gangadhara Nellore with 38% and Pedakurapadu with 37%.

He urged party cadres to complete the membership registration process by December 30. He assured that membership ID cards would soon be distributed to registered members. Additionally, he issued a stern warning against any activities that could tarnish the party's image, stating that anti-party actions would not be tolerated.
