Appeal to Support Underdeveloped Prakasam District: Submission to Union Minister
Dinakar presented a memorandum to the Minister, emphasizing the need for continued financial support for key projects like Amaravati and Polavaram. He requested an allocation of Rs 2 to 2.5 lakh crore in the upcoming central budget for the capital expenditure of states and interest-free long-term loans.
Highlighting the necessity for funding the development of industrial areas in backward districts, Dinakar specifically mentioned Donakonda, Nakkapalli, Yerpedu, and Hindupur. He also appealed for production-based incentives for green and renewable energy manufacturing units as well as other industries in Andhra Pradesh.
Dinakar stressed that recognizing Prakasam as a backward district warrants the same financial aid extended to other similar districts, amounting to Rs 350 crore over seven years.
