Denied! Police Reject Permission for Pushpa-2 Premiere Event – Letter Goes Viral!

The investigation into the stampede case at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Allu Arjun's film Pushpa-2 is intensifying. Police have already arrested M. Sandeep, one of the theatre owners, senior manager M. Nagaraju, and lower balcony in-charge Gandhakam Vijay Chander in connection with the incident. Actor Allu Arjun, who was also arrested earlier, secured interim bail later.

A new twist has emerged in the ongoing investigation. Reports reveal that Sandhya Theatre management had submitted a written request to the police seeking permission for the actors’ attendance at the premiere. However, the police reportedly denied the request, citing potential security concerns. A rejection letter from the police has now surfaced on social media, causing a stir.

The letter outlines several security challenges, noting that the theatre is flanked by restaurants on both sides and lacks separate entry and exit points for its 70mm screen, which shares a compound with the 35mm screen. The police warned that managing crowds would be difficult if celebrities attended, especially during special screenings and new releases. They advised the theatre management against inviting actors or the film team to avoid potential chaos.

The handwritten letter, stamped by the inspector and acknowledged by Sandhya Theatre, is being widely circulated online. If the letter proves authentic, legal troubles for the theatre management may deepen. Experts argue that inviting actors despite the police's explicit refusal could be considered gross negligence.

Meanwhile, Chikkadpally Inspector Raju Naik confirmed that the police have submitted their report to the court during hearings involving both parties.
