TTD Announces Ritual Changes During Dhanurmasa in Tirumala
During this month-long period, the traditional Tiruppavai recitation will replace Suprabhata Seva as part of the temple’s early morning worship. Lord Venkateswara will be awakened with Tiruppavai hymns throughout the Dhanurmasa. Additionally, Sri Krishna Swamy will be offered Ekanta Seva exclusively during this time.
From January 10 to January 19, devotees will have the opportunity to access the Vaikunta Dwaram for darshan, coinciding with the observance of Vaikunta Ekadasi. TTD has planned extensive arrangements for this significant event.
As of today, the temple experienced a moderate influx of devotees. Eighteen compartments in the queue complex were occupied. By midnight yesterday, 66,160 devotees had visited the temple, with 22,724 offering hair tonsures. The temple's Hundi collections totaled ₹3.47 crore, according to TTD officials.
