Police Add Attempt to Murder Charge in Mohan Babu Case

In a significant development, the Pahadi Shareef police have registered an attempt to murder case against veteran actor Mohan Babu following allegations of an assault on media representatives. The case has been filed under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS), based on legal opinion obtained by the police. Earlier, a case under Section 118(1) BNS had already been registered in connection with the incident.

The events unfolded on Tuesday night amidst an ongoing family dispute within the Manchu household. Media representatives had gathered at Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpally to cover the matter. During the commotion, actor Manchu Manoj allegedly broke through the gates of the residence, prompting the media personnel to follow him inside.

At this point, Mohan Babu reportedly emerged from the house and forcibly snatched a microphone from a journalist, assaulting him in the process. The journalist sustained serious injuries from the attack.

Additionally, it has been reported that bouncers at the premises behaved aggressively towards other media personnel, causing minor injuries to several individuals. These incidents collectively led to the registration of the case.
