High Court Grants Relief to Actor Mohan Babu
Actor Mohan Babu received relief from the Telangana High Court regarding notices issued by the police. The court stayed the notices served to Mohan Babu by the Rachakonda police following mutual complaints between Mohan Babu and his son, actor Manchu Manoj. The court exempted Mohan Babu from appearing before the police for questioning until December 24. Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy presided over the hearing and adjourned the case to the same date.
In his petition filed as a lunch motion, Mohan Babu requested the High Court to stay the notices issued by the Rachakonda police. During the proceedings, the government’s counsel informed the court about the criminal cases filed against Mohan babu and his son based on their complaints against each other. It was also brought to the court’s attention that Mohan Babu was recently named in another criminal case related to an alleged assault on a journalist.
Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj appeared for questioning before the police in response to the notices issued to him. Mohan Babu’s counsel sought police surveillance at his residence, citing safety concerns. However, the government counsel argued that constant surveillance was impractical but assured that the police would monitor the situation at intervals.
The High Court directed the police to visit Mohan Babu’s residence every two hours and monitor the situation until the next hearing. It also instructed the police to ensure that conditions remained under control until further orders.
