Emotional Allu Arjun Thanks Fans at Pushpa-2 Success Meet
The movie Pushpa-2: The Rule is creating history, not just in Telugu cinema but also in Indian film history. Within just two days of its release, the film shattered two all-time records. To celebrate this massive success, the Pushpa-2 team held a success meet today in Hyderabad. The event saw the presence of actor Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, producers Naveen and Ravi Shankar, and key technicians from the film.
Director Sukumar took a moment to introduce his direction team by name and explained how each of them contributed to the film’s making. Later, Icon Star Allu Arjun delivered an emotional speech, beginning with, "Thank You, India... That’s all I have to say today." He expressed deep gratitude toward everyone who made the film a grand success.
“All the technicians, artists, producers Naveen, Ravi Shankar, and Cherry—thank you for believing in us and investing heavily to bring us to this level," Allu Arjun said. He emphasized that while filmmaking is a team effort, the real credit for the movie’s success goes entirely to director Sukumar.
“No matter how much appreciation I, the producers, or the artists receive, the real hero is Sukumar. He is the reason behind every compliment coming my way. Darling (Sukumar), you elevated me to such heights. I’m not saying this out of pride but with genuine gratitude,” he added.
Speaking about the film’s record-breaking collections, Allu Arjun stated that while he isn’t aware of exact figures, he is deeply moved by the way a regional film has become India’s top-grossing movie. He extended heartfelt thanks to the Telugu film industry, audiences, producers, director, and Indian movie lovers worldwide.
Allu Arjun also addressed a tragic incident that occurred during Pushpa-2's premiere at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre, where a woman named Revathi lost her life. "We make movies for audiences to come and enjoy, but hearing about such a tragedy deeply saddens me," he said. He announced that his team had provided ₹25 lakh in financial aid to the woman’s family and assured full support.
Producer Ravi Shankar later took the stage to reveal that the movie’s two-day worldwide gross collection had exceeded ₹500 crore, surpassing their earlier announcement of ₹449 crore. He also thanked Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh for their invaluable support.
