BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy Arrested Amid High Drama

BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was arrested by the police based on a complaint filed by the Banjara Hills CI, alleging that he disrupted official duties. Gachibowli police apprehended him at his residence in Kondapur. Tensions escalated near his house following the arrest.
Several BRS leaders, including Harish Rao, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, former minister Jagadish Reddy, MLC Shambhipur Raju, and Rakesh Reddy, visited to express their support. However, police stopped them, leading to a heated argument between the officers and the BRS leaders. Subsequently, they were also detained and taken to the Gachibowli Police Station.
Kaushik Reddy himself was later shifted to the same station following his arrest. The controversy stems from an incident on Wednesday when Kaushik Reddy alleged that his phone was being tapped by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Intelligence IG Sivadhar Reddy. He approached the Banjara Hills Police Station to file a complaint but caused a scene along with his followers after the ACP reportedly left the premises before his arrival. This led to a case being filed against him, culminating in today’s arrest.
