Former MLA Shakeel’s Son Must Appear Before Police for Questioning: High Court
The Telangana High Court has directed Sahil, son of BRS leader and former Bodhan MLA Shakeel, to appear before Panjagutta police for questioning on December 16. A case was filed against Sahil at the Panjagutta police station following an incident where barricades near Prajabhavan were rammed by a car.
After the case was registered, Sahil reportedly left for Dubai. Upon hearing the matter, the court recently ruled that Sahil must return from Dubai and cooperate with the police investigation. The court emphasized the necessity of Sahil's cooperation during the interrogation.
In this case, allegations have surfaced that Panjagutta CI Durgarao attempted to exclude Sahil from the case and instead list the driver, Asif, as the accused in the incident involving the car crashing into the Prajabhavan gates. Due to these allegations, senior officials suspended the CI. Meanwhile, the Bodhan police have included Prem Kumar as an accused in the case.
