CM Chandrababu Reviews Cyclone Impact: Focus on Farmers and Rain-Damaged Crops
Even after Cyclone Fengal made landfall in the Bay of Bengal, Andhra Pradesh continues to experience rainfall. Heavy rains have been recorded in several areas of South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts. In light of this, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meeting.
CM Chandrababu emphasized that the adverse weather conditions might persist for two more days and urged caution. He instructed officials to identify crops damaged due to the heavy rains and provide compensation. Additionally, he directed the purchase of wet paddy to ease the burden on farmers.
Authorities informed the CM that 53 mandals across the state were affected by the cyclone. Relief camps have been set up, and evacuations were carried out. The review meeting was held at the CM’s residence in Undavalli.
