Revanth Reddy Urges Public to Counter False Propaganda
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged the people to protect the Congress government that they had chosen, stating that the responsibility lies with them. Speaking at a public event, he noted that while the Congress government has been in power for only ten months, they have achieved significant milestones. He also called upon the public to counter false propaganda being spread against the government.
The Chief Minister remarked, "This government didn’t come into power easily, and I’m not saying it was effortless. But by electing us, you have changed our destiny and given us great responsibilities. Therefore, it is your duty to counter the false narratives as well."
Taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, he criticized their policies. He said it was ironic for leaders who implemented black laws and discouraged paddy cultivation to now claim they care for farmers.
As part of the "Praja Palana Vijayotsavam" (People’s Governance Celebrations), health festivals were organized at the HMDA Grounds on NTR Marg in Hyderabad. During the event, CM Revanth Reddy flagged off 213 ambulances, including 108 and 102 emergency vehicles.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that education and healthcare are the top priorities of his government. He highlighted that in less than a year, 14,000 jobs have been filled in the healthcare sector, making Telangana the first state in the country to undertake recruitment on such a large scale. "Strengthening the healthcare system is essential to building a healthy Telangana," he stated, adding that they are working to make Telangana a leading state in producing the highest number of doctors in India.
Revanth Reddy expressed that his government considers Telangana society as its family and has worked toward creating job opportunities. Criticizing the previous BRS government, he said it established eight medical colleges but failed to provide adequate infrastructure. He accused KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao of prioritizing their own jobs while neglecting the youth of the state.
On exams, he explained that although there were demands to postpone them, the government decided against it to prevent wasting students’ valuable time. He contrasted this with the previous government, which repeatedly postponed exams.
The Chief Minister also recalled how the Congress government encouraged farmers, offering a bonus of ₹500 per quintal for paddy, unlike the earlier regime that discouraged farming with policies like "grow paddy and face gallows." He further mentioned implementing free bus travel for women and transferring loan waiver amounts to farmers’ accounts.
Revanth Reddy said he is entirely focused on governance and development, asserting that halting his work as CM would hinder progress. He reminded party workers and the public that they are the reason he holds this position. "It is because of your support that we are here in power. Therefore, it is your responsibility to safeguard this government and counter false propaganda," he said, addressing the gathering.
