Instagram Love Ends in Tragedy: 19-Year-Old Woman Commits Suicide in Vijayawada

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, where a young woman's life ended tragically due to a love story that began on Instagram. Unable to convince her parents to approve of her marriage to a man she fell in love with through Instagram, the 19-year-old woman ended her life by jumping into the Ryves Canal.

The young woman, a resident of Chittinagar in Vijayawada, became acquainted with a man on Instagram. Over time, their acquaintance developed into a romantic relationship. The couple decided to marry, and the young woman sought the approval of her parents. However, her parents refused to consent to the marriage.

Distressed by her parents’ opposition, the young woman reportedly attempted suicide on November 24. Despite several instances of leaving her home in protest, her parents remained firm in their disapproval. On Wednesday afternoon, the woman tragically jumped from the overbridge near the old police control room into the Ryves Canal.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Governorpet police registered a case and launched a search operation with the help of expert divers. On Friday afternoon, her body was discovered near the Ramavarappadu bridge.

The police recovered her remains, conducted a post-mortem examination, and handed the body over to her grieving parents. The tragic incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the local community. Witnessing the parents’ inconsolable grief deeply moved onlookers.
