Case Against Adani in the U.S.: BRS MLC Kavitha Responds
Referring to the allegations, she said, "Even without evidence, it is easy to arrest a woman, but despite evidence, is it difficult to arrest Adani?" She further questioned, "How long will Prime Minister Narendra Modi continue to support Adani, despite repeated allegations?"
Kavitha criticized what she termed as "selective justice" in India, alleging that political opponents are arrested without evidence and kept in jail for months, whereas no action is taken against Adani despite repeated and grave allegations. In her tweet, she demanded to know who is preventing the central government from taking action against Adani.
This is Kavitha's first tweet after a long hiatus from the platform. On August 29, she tweeted "Satyameva Jayate" following her release from Tihar Jail and shared a photo of her meeting with her father, Telangana former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Previously, she was in Tihar Jail for a few months in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
