Woman's Emotional Reaction to Recovered Scooter Draws Praise from CM Chandrababu
The Eluru police have recently recovered several stolen bikes and returned them to their rightful owners. Over the past three months, they successfully returned more than 250 vehicles to their owners.
Among the recovered vehicles was a scooter belonging to a woman who became emotional upon seeing it. She held her scooter with great relief, overwhelmed by emotions. The woman had been using the scooter daily to take her child, who suffers from thalassemia, to the hospital for treatment. The Andhra Pradesh police shared a video showing how important the scooter was for her family’s needs.
Reacting to this, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed that he was deeply moved upon learning how much the scooter meant to this mother.
"Seeing how important that bike was to that mother, is deeply moving. Smt Nili Aliveni was devastated when the scooter she used to take her Thalassemia-affected daughter to the hospital was stolen. Her emotions, when the bike was recovered by the police, show how much it means to her. For families who depend on them, bikes provide a means of daily transportation and livelihood. When a bike is stolen, families are adversely impacted. However, I am glad to note, that in the last quarter alone, police recovered 251 stolen bikes and arrested 25 suspects. They are now using the latest technology to crack down on these cases and bring relief to affected families. I commend Eluru Police for their prompt action and service to people," he stated.
