Pawan Kalyan, in his role as the Deputy Chief Minister, took charge of the Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Environment, Forest, and Science and Technology departments at the camp office in Vijayawada. During this event, he signed two files as a minister.

His first signature was on the approval of funds for linking the Employment Guarantee Scheme to horticulture-related works. The second signature was for the construction of Panchayati buildings in tribal villages.

This action fulfills a promise he made in 2019. Pawan Kalyan had committed to integrating the National Employment Guarantee Scheme with agriculture. He announced this during the 2019 Women's Day celebrations, stating, "We will include this in our manifesto. This is our commitment to farmers on Women's Day, inspired by the pleas of the farmer's sisters." Pawan Kalyan has now kept this promise.
