YSRCP Faces Setback as Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy Resigns

Ongole: In a major shock to the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy announced his resignation from the party. Speaking to the media recently, he stated that he has been in politics for 33 years and mentioned that the name Magunta has become a brand in Prakasam district. He highlighted his electoral journey, mentioning that he contested 11 times, including 8 times for Parliament, twice for the Legislative Assembly, and once for the Legislative Council position.

He expressed that there is no ego in their family, only self-respect. Despite finding it painful to leave YSRCP, he mentioned it was inevitable, emphasizing that he cannot compromise on his self-respect. He announced his decision to position his son, Magunta Raghava Reddy, in the electoral fray for Ongole MP.

It's known that Magunta was distanced by the YSRCP high command, which led to his dissatisfaction. YSRCP declared Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy as the candidate from the Ongole parliamentary seat, as announced by Jagan. This development has reportedly led to Magunta's extreme dissatisfaction with the party, prompting his resignation announcement. There is information suggesting that he might join TDP in the first week of March.
