Amaravati: Recent developments within the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) have led to tensions escalating due to the denial of tickets to several incumbents and changes in candidate placements for many. In particular, rumours have been circulating in Gudivada that Kodali Nani will not be receiving the party ticket this time, and instead, the party's district vice-president, Mandava Hanumanth Rao, will be contesting as the MLA. Banners congratulating Hanumanth Rao for his candidacy in the elections have been spotted across Gudivada, and the topic has been widely shared on WhatsApp, heating up the political heat in the area suddenly.
However, Hanumanth Rao has provided clarity on this issue, stating emphatically that he is not contesting in the Gudivada MLA elections. He labelled all the discussions regarding him receiving the ticket over Kodali Nani as false propaganda. He refuted the rumors circulating on social media and in major media outlets that he was almost confirmed to replace Kodali Nani, mentioning that there is no truth to these reports.
Hanumanth Rao explained that due to his professional commitments, he has been unable to participate actively in party activities, which might have led to rumors about disagreements with Nani. He asserted that he would never cross the party line or oppose Nani. He pledged not to engage in any actions that could harm the party's image. Hanumanth Rao and Kodali Nani were seen together in Dokiparru, Gudlavallaleru Mandal, where Hanumanth Rao addressed these topics in a press meet held in Nani's presence.
