Hyderabad, December 8, 2023: On Friday, the Supreme Court postponed the hearing on the bail cancellation petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh CID in the Skill Development case against former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

During the hearing, the CID's counsel informed the court that Naidu has not yet filed a counter-affidavit despite being served notices by the court previously. Senior advocate Harish Salve, appearing for Naidu, stated that they are ready to file a counter-affidavit. He also mentioned the case's connection to the 17A judgment.

After the arguments, the Supreme Court bench said the hearing would be taken up in the third week of January. Chandrababu Naidu's counsel, Harish Salve, requested the court to fix a date. The Supreme Court agreed to Salve's request and postponed the hearing to January 19th.
