Naidu writes to DGP over arrest of TDP media coordinator Darapaneni Narendra
According to reports, seven CID police personal in civilian clothes without displaying name badges have entered the flat of Narendra and took him into custody. “Why CID cops arrested the TDP leader without giving notice under Section 41,” Chandrababu asked the DGP.
The TDP supremo stated that the Police Department will be made responsible if anything happens to Narendra, who is having several health complications. He came down heavily on the ruling YSRCP government for using the CID to target the TDP leaders and cadre.
While demanding immediate release of Narendra, Chandrababu slammed the CID for not changing its way of functioning despite the CID court serving a show-cause notice for arresting senior journalist K. Ankababu.
