First signature on SCS file once Rahul becomes PM: Jairam Ramesh

Kurnool, October 4: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday said that Rahul Gandhi will sign first file on Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh once he becomes Prime Minister. Talking to reporters here, he stated that Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Kurnool district on October 18. “In AP, Jodo Yatra will cover 85 kilometres in four days,” he added.
 
To a question, Ramesh flayed Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) over launching a national party by name Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). “KCR will take VRS from politics after floating BRS,” he mocked.
 
The Congress leader slammed the BJP and its allies for spewing venom on Jodo Yatra which was launched to uphold democracy and strengthen unity. “BJP and RSS are scared of massive response to Jodo Yatra from people,” he mentioned and termed walkathon as a ‘Sanjeevani’ to the Congress. Jodo Yatra theme song in Telugu will be released on October 18, he said.
