Drunken man beats up mother for money
According to sources, Talliboyina Lakshmi (75) lives in Pallipalem village, Kajuluru mandal and has three sons. She gets a pension of Rs 2,500 and her husband died two years ago.
One of her sons, T Venkanna became liquor addict and has been harassing his mother for pension money. On Sunday morning, he beat his mother and pressed her throat with leg. When she became unconscious, neighbours took her to Yanam government hospital. Doctors said that there was internal bleeding in the brain and not responding.
As per Kakinada District SP M Ravindranath Babu orders, police filed a case on the accused and took him into custody.
