After one month, ex-MLC & Kuppam TDP leaders get bail from High Court

Amaravati, September 23: The Andhra Pradesh High Court granted bail to the seven TDP leaders including former MLC Gownivari Srinivasulu Naidu on Friday. Soon after TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu concluded his Kuppam tour, rural police arrested Srinivasulu in Shantipuram mandal on August 27. Some other TDP leaders were also taken into custody and SC, ST Atrocity cases were registered against them. 
 
As Chittoor court rejected bail, the TDP leaders are undergoing jail term for the last one month. Chandrababu expressed anger over the YSRCP government for sending the TDP leaders to jail on false charges. Even, he warned to register private cases against police officials. On Tuesday, he visited Chittoor district jail and met TDP functionaries lodged in prison. The TDP supremo extended support to them.
 
The TDP leaders approached the High Court after lower court rejected bail to them. Senior advocate Posani Venkateswarlu argued on their behalf.
