Three women die in accident in Eluru district

Eluru, August 23: Three women died on the spot while another two sustained injuries when the car they were travelling fell in a agricultural canal. The incident took place on Monday night in between Valluru and Arthavaram villages of Ganapavaram mandal in Eluru district. 
 
According to police, Mahabub Basha lives in Bhimavaram. His family members Amarjahan (50), Mohammad Samshad (55), Fatima Jaharbi (45) and Amarjahan son Kamal Basha and MD Raheema went in a car to attend their relatives’ wedding in Eluru.
 
While they were returning on Monday night, their car hit an electric pole near Vallur village and rammed into agricultural canal. The three women - Amarjahan, Mohammad Samshad and Fathima Jaharbee – died due to asphyxiation as the car merged in water. Locals were able to rescue Kamal Basha, who was driving the car and MD Raheema. 
 
Police filed a case and took up investigation.
