CM Jagan opens Yokohama Group’s ATC tyres manufacturing unit at Vizag
Visakhapatnam, August 16: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday inaugurated Japan-based Yokohama Group’s ATC tyres manufacturing unit at Atchutapuram here. The ATC is investing Rs 2,200 crore in two phases. The CM performed ground breaking ceremony for company’s second phase works.
Addressing the gathering, Jagan Reddy stated that the ATC began its operations here in a record time of 15 months with the full support extended by his government. “Second phase works will be completed by August 2023,” he mentioned.
The CM further said that another 56 large-scale manufacturing companies will start their operations in the state in the next two years. “Data Centre by Adani Group will start functioning in Visakhapatnam after two months,” he added.
On the occasion, he mentioned that the YSRCP government brought law making 75% jobs reserved for locals. Deputy Chief Ministers Budi Mutyala Naidu and Peedika Rajanna Dora, Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath, and other officials were present.
