Nellore: RTC bus runs without driver after he falls off

Nellore, August 4: Panic-stricken passengers cried for help when an RTC bus ran without a driver for some time after he fell down on the ground due the impact of collision when a car coming from opposite direction hit the bus at a toll plaza near Kavali. 

This incident took place when the RTC bus travelling from Kavali to Nellore with 24 passengers on Wednesday. Passengers heaved a sigh of relief after conductor Nagaraju stopped the bus by applying brakes. Had he not applied brakes, the bus would have met with an accident. In the incident, driver Prasad and ten passengers suffered minor injuries. 

The police registered a case and found that the car belongs to Visakhapatnam-based doctor Vijayapanth. Front portion of the bus damaged severely in the mishap.
