MLA is responsible if anything happens to me: Swapna

Tandur, July 31: MLR Rohit Reddy has to take full responsibility if anything happens to me and my husband, said Tandur municipal chairperson Thadikonda Swapna. Her statement came after the MLA’s warning, “The chairperson must resign to her post as her term of two and half year is completed as per the agreement in Tandur municipality of Vikarabad district. Otherwise consequences will be severe.”
 
Speaking with the media in Tandur, Swapna alleged that already several illegal cases were filed on her husband and requested police to provide protection for them. She said that she will abide to the TRS high command’s decision.
 
Councilors Neeraja and Shobharani said that Swapan will continue as the Tandur municipal chiar person for the remaining two and half year also. 
 
Meanwhile, MLC Mahender Reddy held a meeting with Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav over MLA Rohit Reddy’s comments. The MLC said that he had explained about the consequences if the municipal chairperson resigns.
