Rachakonda cops arrested fake doctor at Meerpet

Hyderabad, July 23: Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Rachakonda Commissionerate and Meerpet police arrested a fake doctor, two others who helped him to secure fake MBBS and other certificates in the name of Kazan State Medical University, Russia. K. Vijay Kumar was working as a duty medical officer at R.K. Hospital in Meerpet and writing medical prescription with the knowledge he gained with his previous experience. 
 
Hailing from Suryapet district, Vijay completed degree in distance education and worked as compounder and PRO in several private hospitals here. He came across Afroz Khan, CT scan technician, while working at Sigma Hospital in Dilsukh Nagar. Through Afroz, Vijay secured fake MBBS documents from Junaid by paying Rs 6.5 lakh.
 
When the demand was high for doctors during pandemic, Vijay worked as a medical officer at a private hospital in Uppal. The cops said that the accused used to perform night duties most of the time to be safe.
