If Puvvada wants seven mandals, we want AP, Telangana merger: Botsa
Amaravati, July 19: Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday advised Telangana Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar to resolve issues amicably through talks instead of making provocative statements.
To a question, he said construction of the Polavaram Project is going on according to design approved by the Central Water Commission (CWC). “Why Puvvada is demanding to merge seven mandals in Telangana after seven years,” he asked and added that Godavari river did not experience such a huge flood in the last 100 years during the month of July.
Botsa informed Puvvada to mind his own business instead of saying that the AP government did not come to the rescue of flood-hit five villages close to Bhadrachalam. “We know how to take care of our people,” he added. The minister mentioned that they will also demand merger of AP and Telangana if Ajay wants seven mandals. However, he welcomed the recent statement made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on relations between two Telugu states.
