CM Jagan exercises his franchise in presidential election 2022
Amaravati, July 18: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday cast his vote in presidential election 2022 at Legislative Assembly in Velagapudi. As soon as the CM entered polling hall, he was greeted by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy. Jagan was seen holding an election slip in pink colour and dropping the same in a designated box.
Earlier, a mock polling was held to the ruling MLAs and MPs to avoid invalidation of votes. The YSRCP had announced support to NDA presidential pick Draupadi Murmu. On July 12, Draupadi met Jagan here and thanked him for extending support to her candidature. Later, the CM introduced her to YSRCP MLAs and MPs.
The YSRCP support crucial for Murmu’s victory with vote value of 45,957. Already, BJD declared support to her as she hails from Odisha. Chances of winning for Draupadi in presidential polls are high. The counting of votes would take place on July 21.
