Harish Rao flays Kishan Reddy’s remarks over Agnipath Scheme
Sangareddy: Health and Finance Minister T. Harish Rao on Monday inaugurated the Sri Renuka Yellamma Talelma Lift Irrigation Scheme near Talelma village in Andole mandal. The project will provide water to 3,000 acres and drinking water to 14 villages.
Addressing a public meeting, he flayed remarks made by Union Minister Kishan Reddy on new Agnipath Scheme. “The Modi government wants youth to become washermen and barbers after serving in the Army for four years,” he criticised.
Rao stated that cost of each cooking gas cylinder rose from Rs 400 to Rs 1,050 in the last eight years after BJP came to power. “The BJP wants to privatise everything including defence sector,” he slammed.
The minister came down heavily on Centre for not granting national status to Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy projects. He further said that development in Telangana is possible only with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. “The BJP and Congress are creating obstacles for Telangana’s development,” he stated.
