Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan makes sensational remarks on Konaseema riots
Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan made sensational remarks on the riots in Amalapuram, the district headquarters, in the wake of the renaming of the Konaseema district. Pawan Kalyan, who arrived in Vijayawada on Friday for a party meeting, spoke to media persons. He alleged that the riots in Konaseema were intentional.
Pawan alleged that the YSRCP government was pursuing a contradictory policy in the division of districts. He asked why the intelligence did not get information about the riots. He alleged that the government knew in advance that clashes would take place.
It is for this reason that the government has not responded to the riots till date. The problem is not renaming the district after Ambedkar, but the clash between the two factions in one party was the cause of the riots. It may be recalled that on May 24, hundreds of people had taken to the streets, ostensibly to oppose the YSRCP government’s notification about renaming the district as Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema.
