Why Chandrababu should appear before AP Women Commission chief, asks Nara Lokesh
Vijayawada, April 27: Finding fault with the Andhra Pradesh Women Commission for serving summons to Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu, his son and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh asked as to whether it was wrong to console gangrape victim in government hospital or questioning the YSRCP government’s inability to protect women from atrocities.
Speaking to the media after touring Vaddeswaram village in Tadepalli mandal on Tuesday, Lokesh said that Home Minister Taneti Vanitha doesn’t know the details of gangrape incident. He alleged that crime against 800 women took place after the YSRCP coming to power in the state. Local TDP leaders were with Lokesh during his visit.
According to sources, Chandrababu and former TDP MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao may not appear before AP Mahila Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson Pramila Naidu faulted the TDP functionaries for obstructing Vasireddy Padma at the entrance of the hospital.
