Will lady luck smile on RCB with arrival of Faf du Plessis as new captain?

Hyderabad: The latest season of IPL is going to start in a few more days. Following the departure of Virat Kohli from the captaincy of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, the team management has selected South African star cricketer Faf du Plessis as the new captain. RCB had bought Faf du Plessis for Rs 7 crore in a recent IPL players mega auction.

Plessis, who represented the Chennai Super Kings franchise last season, was instrumental in the team's success. Not only did he start the innings aggressively, but his ability to play long innings, lightning fielding and tactical acumen made him a unique cricketer and a better captain. So far the RCB team has not won a single title in the IPL. However, the RCB is hopeful that luck will come with the arrival of a new captain.

It is learnt that the 15th season of IPL will start on March 26. Bangalore will play their first match of the tournament against Punjab Kings on March 27.
