CM YS Jagan directs officials to complete resurvey works under 123 ULB
Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, March 31, 2023: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a review meeting on the land resurvey project under YSR Jagananna Saswata Bhu Hakku / Bhu Raksha Pathakam. In the meeting, CM Jagan reiterated that the project is the utmost priority of the government, and the work should be further expedited. CM further directed the officials that the 2000 villages taken up under phase 1 should be completed by May 20, including the works of laying survey stones.
Reviewing the availability of the equipment, specifically on rovers, CM ordered the officials to ensure every village secretariat has the availability of at least 1 rover each for a better flow of resurvey at the village level. Officials have further briefed CM that post the completion of the survey, 31 lakh survey stones are ready to be laid at the borders. Currently, to expedite the works, officials said that they plan on distributing around 50,000 survey stones per day.
Meanwhile, the MA&UD department briefed the CM on the progress of the land re-survey at the ULBs. They said that the land records for the municipal assessment database have been prepared for 123 ULBs, with 38 lakh assessment data prepared to cover 9.5 lakh acres. Further discussing on the timeline for the distribution of land ownership title deeds at the ULBs, the officials said the distribution will begin in July 2023.
