KFC got people screaming with new smart feature in app 'Howzzat'
Hyderabad, May 25th 2022: It’s that time of the year when we are all divided over jersey colours, but united over a Bucket of KFC chicken. And who would’ve thought all that loud cheering & screaming (even over the last piece of KFC Chicken) could win you more of your KFC favourites? Now exercise those vocal cords and give it your best shout, with the first-ever voice-activated mega offer on the KFC App - Howzzat! Download the KFC app, click on the ‘Howzzat’ banner on the home screen and shout “Howzzat” as loud as you can; because the louder you cheer, the bigger the offer. Integrating tech with digital, the app innovatively leverages the sound measuring feature of the microphone that’s native to any regular smartphone and turns it into a voice-activated discount slot machine. Building in gamification within the app interface, consumers are asked to shout ‘Howzzat’ as loudly as they can. The innovation then measures the sound in decibels and fires up a cooker in which the chicken is fried – all captured via an interesting visualization. The louder they shout, the crispier the chicken seems to be fried, and the bigger becomes the value of their discount.
KFC also released two interesting digital films on their Insta page depicting unusual scenarios where KFC and cricket fans scream ‘Howzzat’ and surprise everyone around.
