Manipal Hospitals, Vijayawada begins the vaccine drive for their frontline healthcare professionals
Vijayawada, 29 January 2021: Manipal Hospitals, Vijayawada conducted a vaccine drive for their frontline healthcare professionals on 27th September 2021. There will be around 800 beneficiaries who are getting vaccinated in this 1st phase. All the staff was sensitized about their job responsibilities.
While the first day covered 100 beneficiaries, the drive will be extended to 8 days to cover all beneficiaries listed. The drive was smooth sailing owing to the preparation and training provided to the vaccination team over the last week in collaboration with government health officials.
Speaking on the commencement of the vaccination drive, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Consultant - General Physician, Internal Medicine, Manipal Hospital, Vijayawada “We have been following many precautionary measures like wearing a mask, sanitizing, social distancing, etc. But, if we see now, safety protocols are sometimes being ignored. Taking a vaccination could be the best potential alternative to keep yourself away from contacting the virus. I urge people when given a chance, to go ahead and opt for vaccination and don’t fall prey to various misconceptions or myths.”
“We feel proud to be a part of the world’s largest public vaccination program. It is very encouraging to roll out such a widespread vaccination drive across the country.
