Telangana CS Somesh Kumar holds review meeting on frame work for action plan on road safety
As per the directions of the Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, IAS., today held a review meeting and directed officials to prepare the frame work for action plan on road safety for every district in the State.
Chief Secretary reviewed the unified action plan on emergency care and mapping of Ambulance services, Hospitals and Trauma care centers to bring down the Fatalities and to extend health services within the Golden hour. He directed the officials to arrange training programme on emergency medicine from NIMS to the Health care workers of Trauma care centers.
He advised the Health Department to identify staff for taking Master training on Active Bleeding Control to reduce the Mortality and Morbidity from Road Accidents in the State. He also directed the officials to constitute a team to study each and every aspect related to Outer ring road duly focussing on fencing, crossings, signages, Illumination, ANPR camera based speed enforcement at vulnerable locations to minimise accidents. He asked the officials to make arrangements for conducting one day training to Government drivers on safe driving and maintenance of vehicles.
Sunil Sharma, Principal Secretary TR&B, Jithender, Additional DGP, Ravi Gupta, Principal Secretary Home, SAM Rizvi, Secretary Health & Family Welfare, Sandeep Shandilya, M.R.M Rao, Transport Commissioner, Ms .B. Vijiendra, Spl. Secretary, TR&B, Santhosh, PD, ORR and other officials attended the meeting.
