CCVA Organises 6th International Multilingual Poets’ Meet on 19th & 20th December 2020

Dr D. Vizaibhaskar, Convenor, CCVA’s Amaravati Poetic Prism 2020, 6th International Multilingual Poet’s Meet announced that CCVA in association with Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu (CIIL), Department of Language and Culture, Andhra Pradesh and Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana, is organizing Amaravati Poetic Prism 2020 – the 6th International Multilingual Poets’ Meet on 19th & 20th Dec’ 20. K. Siva Reddy, Recipient of Saraswati Samman and Kabir Samman and Member, Central Committee for Kendra Sahitya Akademi will inaugurate the Meet and launch the International Multilingual Poetry Anthology e-book in the Inaugural Session. The anthology edited by Dr Papineni Sivasankar and Dr D. Vizaibhaskar, showcases 162 poems in 42 languages by 162 poets from 32 countries. The earlier editions of this anthology have been recognized by the India Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records since 2016 and each edition thereafter has gone on to break its own previous records in terms of no. of poems and languages.
 
Dr E. Sivanagi Reddy, CEO & Managing Trustee, CCVA, said that the overseas poet delegates are from 31 countries viz., Albania, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Austria, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Canada, China, Croatia, Cuba, France, Germany, Ghana, Greek, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Srilanka, UK, USA, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are participating in the Poets Meet and reverberate with their poetry readings from Amaravati Poetic Prism 2020 in various languages during the two days. India is represented by Poets in 20 languages namely Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Hindustani, Kannada, Karbi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Marathi, Mizo, Odia, Punjabi, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu are participating.
 
Mr Sandeep Mandava, CEO, Malaxmi Properties Realcon Pvt ltd said that Padma Shri Vishnu Pandya, Chairman, Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, Dr N. Gopi, Dr Papineni Sivasankar, Kendra Sahitya Akademi awardees, Dr D. Vizaibhaskar, Kendra Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Dr D. Munirathnam Naidu, Project Director, Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu (CIIL), Mr R. Mallikarjuna Rao, Director, Department of Language and Culture, Andhra Pradesh. Mr Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana, Dr Y. Tejaswini, Chairperson, CCVA will attend the inaugural session as Distinguished Guests. He also said that the Amaravati Poetic Prism 2020 features poetry of some of the top poets of India and the world that include Padma Shri, Saraswati Samman, Kabir Samman and several Kendra Sahitya Akademi awardees in different languages. The overseas poets too are winners of top poetry prizes and awards for Literature.
 
Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO, The Sedibus and Moderator of the programme said that the Valedictory Session scheduled at 7.00 pm on 20.12.2020 will be addressed by Padma Dr Kolakaluri Enoch, Recipient of Murthy Devi Puraskar in the presence of the Distinguished Guests viz, Dr D. Vizaibhaskar, Kendra Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Dr Venna Vallabha Rao, Kendra Sahitya Akademi Awardee for Translation, Sri Killada Satyanarayana, IPS, Inspector General of Police and Dr Y. Tejaswini, Chairperson CCVA.  Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO, The Sedibus, will be the Moderator of the two day International Poets Meet.
