Minister KTR Inaugurates Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge

Hyderabad: The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao inaugurated the state-of-the-art extradosed Cable Stayed Bridge across Durgam Cheruvu on Friday.

Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar today said that the coveted ‘Army Ceremonial and Symphony Band’ of the Indian Army will be performing live from 5.30 PM on Saturday (on the bridge) to commemorate the opening of the cable stayed bridge across Durgam Cheruvu. He invited the public to take part in the programme and enjoy the live band performance.

As the vehicular movement is restricted on the bridge during the weekend and the public will be able to enjoy performance from the other side of the carriageway. Mr Arvind Kumar observed that with the bridge being equipped with aesthetically pleasing lighting and the band performing against the beautiful lake backdrop, it is expected to be quite a spectacle.
He said that the band will perform to express solidarity with the Indian Soldiers posted on the Northern Borders and to the GHMC sanitation Corona Warriors.

Mr Arvind Kumar informed that the Army Symphony Band, will be  performing will be performing for 45 minutes on the iconic cable stayed bridge in order to popularize the iconic bridge. Starting with ‘Vande Matram’, the band will play several patriotic, Indian and western songs and music and end the night with ‘Jai Ho’.

He added that after the Army Band, another local Hyderabad band led by Ms. Anisha will be performing on Indian and western songs and keep the public entertained.
