NABH Certification for KIMS Emergency Department - First in Telangana
Hyderabad, September 24, 2020: National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), the constituent board of quality council of India, has certified the Emergency department of KIMS Hospitals for complying NABH Standards. In Telangana, KIMS is the first hospitals to receive NABH certificate of accreditation for Emergency department services. With 27 beds and 40 doctors and supporting staff, KIMS emergency department is one of the largest among Hyderabad hospitals. The Hospital ensures best Infection control practices followed and aims at reducing/eliminating infection risks to patients, visitors and care providers to ensure patient safety.

The standards aim at setting expectations to provide equitable, safe and high-quality emergency care to patients to get good clinical outcomes. The NABH standards provide framework for quality care and patient safety to patients coming to the Emergency department and also stimulates continuous quality improvement.
Patients in Emergency Department are provided the urgent care in consonance with their clinical requirements and statutes of land. Standard protocols are uniformly followed for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, ambulance services, and nursing services by giving special attention to situations like sedation, restraints, end of life care etc. including pain management by outlining the patients’ rights and responsibilities.
