Neuberg Diagnostics joins the War Against Covid-19 in Hyderabad
- Receives ICMR approval to begin RT-PCR & equipped to do Antigen testing
- 7th Neuberg’s Laboratory tostart processing of COVID-19 samples in India
- Announced Special Support Fund for weaker section of the society
Speaking on the development Ms. Aishwarya Vasudevan, Group Chief Operating, Neuberg Diagnostics Private Limited said, “With the number of active COVID-19 cases on the rise across the country, it is our duty as a part of the healthcare fraternity to join our hands to fight this pandemic and support the state and the central government as well as those at the front of this battle. This is our seventh lab to get ICMR approval for RT-PCR testing in the country, we are also equipped to do rapid antigen testing.”
In the last one week in Telangana, the number of new infections has grown by an average of 2.5% every day and it is currently between Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the disease spread. Around 3,155 out of every 10lakh people in Telangana have tested positive for the virus and the State Government is taking the right measures to curtail its spread. Neuberg is happy to support its efforts towards testing and help the government to curtail the spread of the virus.
“As the current situation demand conducting more tests, we have introduced a special support fund for the weaker sections of the society. Through this, we will offer free of cost testing to people with a BPL ration card with appropriate doctor prescriptions. Apart from home sample collection, we are also planning to introduce testing kiosks across Hyderabad where a person can come and get the test done at their own ease with minimum human contact. Neuberg believes in providing safe, convenient care, which is measurable by global standards”.added Ms. Aishwarya Vasudevan.
The COVID-19 testing in Neuberg’s labs will strictly follow guidelines by ICMR and other competent government agencies. COVID–19 samples from hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare providers can be tested in the labs.
As per the guidelines issued by ICMR for COVID-19 testing in private laboratories, Neuberg will provide the test to an individual only when prescribed by a qualified physician, while also adhering to the sample collection and testing guidelines set by ICMR.
