FCRI Student got Admission in USA University

  • Post-graduation study and Civil services preparation geared up at FCRI
Miss Surya Deepika the final year student of B.Sc. forestry, has made it to the M.S. program in the School of Forestry and wildlife sciences at the University of Auburn, Alabama. Her guide Dr. Janna Willoughby is a well-known geneticist in the field of wildlife. The two years of the study program at auburn will be without tuition fees for two years. In addition to waiving off 15000 dollars annual tuition fee, she has been offered a 1500 dollar per month Scholarship for two years. Together for two years it is worth Rs 50 lakh.

Miss Surya Deepika is a brilliant student and active wildlife and birder. She is one among the top 5 students at the institute, she hails from Rangareddy district. Looking at her enthusiasm for the wildlife she has been encouraged to apply for the M.S. program. Dr. A. Jankiram Reddy Dean school forestry and wildlife biology facilitated her admission. Three more students are yet to get their admission but they are worried about the cost of education. FCRI is exploring the possible tie-up for the Government of Telangana abroad scholarship program for students. Students are encouraged to apply for the University of British Columbia in Canada as well.

This apart the final year students are under regular guidance to face all PG entrance examinations conducted in the country with an intension to top everywhere. The exams include the Indian Council of Agricultural Research PG entrance exam, Indian Council Forestry Research and Education PG entrance exam, and so on. Looking at the enthusiasm of students the ICFRE sanctioned center for writing PG entrance exam at Hyderabad this year for the first time There are 20 students among the first batch who are undergoing civil services coaching on day to day basis under the guidance of A. Narasimha Reddy DCF and are waiting for the UPSC civil services examination dates.

In the Academic council meeting chaired by Smt. Shobha IFS PCCF (HoFF) and Chief Wildlife Warden finalized the no of seat intake for post-graduation studies, fee structure, Academic curriculum, guide ships, etc. Osmania University gave approval for the PG admissions at FCRI starting from 2020. The outside state members of the Academic council and few of the members have participated in this online conference.  

The entire faculty members at FCRI, K. Srinivas Deputy Director FCRI are all geared up to start the post-graduate studies at FCRI

The dean FCRI  Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy has informed us that there will be an intake of 24 students. The discipline wise seats are as follows.
