Mohd Mahmood Ali visits police stations today
Mohd Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home held a review meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad other Police Officers of Hyderabad at Salarjung Museum Auditorium, Hyderabad. Later, he paid visit to South Zone DCP Office and to Dabeerpura and Mirchowk Police Stations . During the visits, he said that the Telangana State Police Department has got good name in the entire country and many of the people friendly and policing initiatives of Telangana Police have been adapted and implemented by several other states of the country.
He said that presently, the Police Department has been doing a great job day and night for implementing the lockdown as a measure of containing the spread of Corona Virus. He has given awards to the Police Officers and Staff for their good work in implementation of Lockdown in the City. He said that ever since the formation of Telangana State, much priority has been given to the Police Department by the Hon’ble Chief Minister by providing sufficient funds for improving mobility, infrastructure, Technology and modernization of the Department.
He said, Telangana Police has been appreciated by one and all for its People Friendly initiatives. He said that although the Police Department has been doing a great job in effective enforcing Lockdown declared by the Government to contain the spread of Pandemic Corona and the services of the Police Department of Telangana State have been much appreciated from all sections of the society, it is due to harsh behaviour of just 0.1% of Police Force while enforcing the lockdown rules Police Department as well as the Government are getting bad name.
He said during the meeting that people are already facing problems and experiencing hardships due to Corona Pandemic and due to Holy Month of Ramzan most of the muslims observe fasting and come out for procuring essential requirements must not be dealt-with harshly but with much restraint and patience by properly counselled by the Police. He instructed that the higher police officers should visit the Police Stations and areas concerned by surprise to ensure that the instructions are followed by the enforcement staff strictly and see that no complaints are received.
