ETO Motors provides 30 Electric 3-Wheelers & Installed a Thunder Box Charging station a Dar-Us-Salam, Hyderabad
With this addition, ETO Motors has employed 150 Women and Men who drive Electric 3-Wheelers to earn a living and become financially independent.
Hyderabad, 08 July 2023: ETO Motors, one of India’s largest organizations to provide an end-to-end electric mobility ecosystem, has, through its ETO EMPOWERS Programme, provided 30 Electric 3-Wheelers to Women and Men drivers hailing from Charminar in Hyderabad. Through this programme, ETO aims to provide fair employment opportunities to drivers along with providing highly rewarding incentives & benefits like health and life insurance coverage.
Present at the launch were Shri Asaduddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament; Shri Y. Satish Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation; Ms. Jai Bharathi, Founder, MOWO; Shri Surender Nath, Chief Operating Officer, ETO Motors; Shri Anthony Daniels, Chief Business Officer, ETO Motors; and Smt. Bobby Azmeera, President – Women Empowerment, ETO Motors.
Shri Asaduddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament, flagged off the Electric 3-Wheelers. Speaking at the launch, he said “Today is a momentous occasion as we gather here to celebrate the launch of electric autos in the historic city of Charminar. This significant step towards embracing sustainable transportation is not only a commendable achievement but also a testament to our commitment to creating employment opportunities and empowering our women. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to ETO Motors for their unwavering support throughout this journey. They have not only generously funded the vehicles but have also played a pivotal role in training the women drivers. Our ambitious plan is to create employment opportunities for an additional one hundred women and men drivers in the next six months, with the invaluable assistance of ETO Motors.”
In parallel to the launch of electric 3-wheelers, ETO Motors, in partnership with TSREDCO, has also established a robust charging infrastructure. The joint efforts have resulted in the successful installation of three conveniently located charging points at prominent areas: Mogalpura Sports Complex, SRT Ground Yakutpura, and Khalander Nagar Community Hall Santosh Nagar. These charging points will not only facilitate the smooth operation of electric vehicles but will also enhance the convenience and accessibility for EV owners.
Speaking at the launch, Shri Satish Reddy, Chairman, TSREDCO said, “This is a very important milestone in the renewable energy sector. Apart from environmental benefits, we are also able to provide employment opportunities to women and try and make them financially independent. I would like to thank the Telangana State Government and our Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri K Chandrashekhar Rao Garu for encouraging and supporting such initiatives as Telangana state becomes no. 1 green and eco-friendly States in India.”
Shri Surender Nath, Head Mobility Services, ETO Motors, said “We are very happy to have added to our fleet of Electric 3-Wheelers and empowered women and men drivers under the ETO EMPOWERS Programme. This is a key focus area for us as we feel that Electric Mobility is the future, and we would like many more women and men to step forward and become part of the electric revolution. This is our humble effort towards the betterment of society at large.”
The launch of electric 3-wheelers in Charminar not only brings about a significant reduction in carbon emissions but also presents a host of opportunities for employment and empowerment. As our country transitions to electric vehicles, such initiatives help open doors to new avenues for our youth to become entrepreneurs and earn a livelihood. The electric auto industry will create job opportunities at various levels, from manufacturing and maintenance to operations and services.
