Axis Bank inaugurates its rural branch in Sri City, Chilamathur, AP
Sri City, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, December 14, 2022: Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, inaugurated its rural branch in Sri City, Chilamathur, Andhra Pradesh. The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest – Mr. Madhu Babu, Specified Officer – Customs, Mr. Nagarajan, Chief Financial Officer, Sri City, Mr. Rakesh, Business Head, Sri City in presence of Axis Bank representatives – Mr. Nuti Chakravarthy, Regional Branch Banking Head - South-2, Mr. M. Haranath, Circle Head – Andhra, Mr. M. Venkat Subramanyam, Cluster Head, Nellore, Mr. Natuva Bramarnath, LS Cluster Head, Nellore.
The new branch is located on Ground Floor, Arcade Building, opposite to Sri City Trade Centre, Chilamathur, Andhra Pradesh.
Through this new branch, Axis Bank will aid growth & development in the South-East region by providing easy access to funds through a bouquet of asset products such as gold loans, kisan credit card, personal loans, home loans, vehicle loans, working capital loans, term loans etc., and also provide deposit products such as savings accounts, current accounts and fixed deposits to the people in the region.
Speaking on the branch inauguration, Munish Sharda, Group Executive and Head – Bharat Banking, Axis Bank said, ‘’Rural and semi-urban markets are a key focus area for Axis Bank and we are keen to aid growth in these markets, in alignment with the government’s mission of financial inclusion. With this new branch, we will be able to provide a bouquet of financial services that will meet the growing demand of customers in this region. Currently, the Bank has overall 2065 branches located in the Semi urban and rural markets, and we will continue bolstering our presence through new branches across the country in line with our Dil Se Open philosophy that we are always open and listening to our customers.”
With an aim to reach out to the vast customer base in the region, Axis Bank will conduct various activities such as referral drives, leaflet distribution, participation in regional exhibitions, competitions etc. The Bank will also organize Samriddhi Loan Mela and other regional activities in ‘Mandi’ as part of its awareness initiative.
